use acrylics in the manner that other artists use oils, with great emphasis
on texture and color. Techniques and tools vary with each piece, from heavy,
richly textured impasto to dry brush, from brushes to palette knives to
fingers.

| My paintings are the visual expression of bold emotion on canvas or glass. I do not meticulously plan my paintings but rather start with a loosely abstract idea and let the creative process mold and shape the piece as I work. | ||

Specific personal
emotions dominate each individual piece, but as in most abstract work, each
piece is subject to individual interpretation by the observer. "Beauty
in things exists in the mind which contemplates them." - David Hume.

hope that my visual expressions move the observer in some clear way, whether
they are inspired, provoked, fascinated or simply appreciative of color,
texture and motion.
